NASCAR on TV this week

Off the Wall With: Brendan Gaughan

Welcome to Off the Wall With… where we ask your favorite drivers five questions that are… well, off the wall! We’ll check in with a different driver each week to get a peek into life outside the racecar. This week, we’ve got NASCAR Xfinity Series veteran Brendan Gaughan on the hook.

What’s fun besides racing?

Gaughan: My kids. Everything they do, whether it’s just walking through the living room; there’s something that they’re going to do to make you laugh.

What’s the top item on your bucket list?

Gaughan: To go scuba diving in the Galapagos.

Your go-to on movie night is:

Gaughan: Blazing Saddles, Spaceballs — Mel Brooks stuff. Princess Bride.

What’s one item that’s always in your grocery bag?

Gaughan: (Laughing) Toilet paper! A household with two little boys and daddy goes through a lot of it.

Most memorable fan interaction?

Gaughan: I don’t think I can pick one. I’ve been so fortunate over the years. I’ve had people make me cry, make me smile, make me laugh. So many have meant so much to me.
