Off the Wall With… Cole Whitt

Welcome to Off the Wall, where we ask your favorite drivers the same five questions that are… well, off the wall! We’ll check in with a different driver each time to get a peek into life outside the racecar. In this edition, Sprint Cup driver Cole Whitt dishes the answers.

What’s fun besides racing?

Whitt: Fishing. I do a lot of bass fishing on Lake Norman.

What’s the top item on your bucket list?

Whitt: I’m pretty happy with the way my life has been. I don’t have anything really crazy. I’ve always seen pictures of Bora Bora, so I want to go to Bora Bora.

Your go-to on movie night is:

Whitt: I don’t really watch a lot of movies but one good movie I watched last year was God’s Not Dead. That was a cool one.

What’s one item that’s always in your grocery bag?

Whitt: Probably ground turkey. You can put it in spaghetti, everything. So ground turkey is my go-to because you have so many choices with it.

Most memorable fan interaction?

Whitt: The biggest thing I always remember is they tend to get my name wrong. I’ve been called everything from Kasey Kahne to Jamie McMurray. They come up with these random people and I’m like, ‘no, that’s not me!”
