Welcome to Off the Wall With… where we ask your favorite drivers five questions that are… well, off the wall! We’ll check in with a different driver each week to get a peek into life outside the racecar. This week, 2012 Sprint Cup champ Brad Keselowski has all the answers.
What’s fun besides racing?
Keselowski: For me, I just like growing as a person. Any kind of growth I enjoy.
What’s the top item on your bucket list?
Keselowski: Win another Sprint Cup championship. That’s the racing bucket list. There is a non-racing bucket list, but when you combine the two, that still comes out on top.
Your go-to on movie night is:
Keselowski: I try not to watch the same movie over and over again. But my favorite movie would be Forrest Gump. Good movie.
What’s one item that’s always in your grocery bag?
Keselowski: Lately it’s been flowers for my girlfriend.
Most memorable fan interaction?
Keselowski: There’ve been a lot of them. What’s tough about that is that some fan that I’ve had a really great interaction with is going to read this — and there have been many — and they’re going to say, “I thought mine was the best.” And I feel really bad; it’s kind of like rating your kids. I really hate to give an answer to that, because I don’t like to rate them. What’s always difficult for me is signing a prosthetic. A lot of times they’re from service men or service women, and you’re always trying to figure out, “Should I ask, should I not ask?” It’s always very difficult to know what the right thing to say is.
