AM Racing announced Jan. 30 it plans to field a NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series team in 2026.
Originally, the team had announced a merger with Sigma Performance Services; however, according to a new statement from an AM spokesperson, “the transaction ultimately was not finalized.”
According to its release, it will announce its setup for 2026 soon.
In 2025, AM fielded the No. 25 in the series full time for Harrison Burton, plus a part-time No. 76 for Kole Raz. Raz’s 2026 plans have not been revealed, but Burton has since moved to Sam Hunt Racing.
Sigma, which has previously announced its intention to field entries in O’Reilly and the ARCA Menards Series this season, made a statement later on Jan. 30 noting that it still planned to field ARCA cars this year but does not currently plan to run in O’Reilly.
“We are proud of the work that we did in assembling an incredible team of people, resources and technical partners, and we are confident in the integrity of that plan and the people involved,” Sigma’s Joe Farre said. “We are working closely with the AM Racing leadership group to support the smooth transition of these operations, and we are confident in their ability to deliver the quality and integrity of the plan and to deliver the results that this team of partners deserves.”
