Bryan Dauzat plans to retire from NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series competition after the series’ race at Talladega Superspeedway, FDNY Racing announced Sept. 24.
The 66-year-old will drive FDNY’s part-time No. 28, a truck he’s piloted every year since 2017, with an additional one-off start in 2014.
Dauzat has made 23 starts in the Truck Series and has attempted to qualify for the season-opening race at Daytona International Speedway every year since 2017.
His most recent start at Talladega was in 2023, finishing 36th. Dauzat’s best career finish came at Talladega in 2018, when he drove the No. 28 to an eighth-place finish.
Dauzat failed to qualify for his and FDNY’s previous Truck appearance this season at Daytona.
He is also a part-time competitor in the ARCA Menards Series for his own team, Brother-in-Law Racing.
