Thomas Annunziata Transported to Medical Facility After Fire at Lime Rock

Thomas Annunziata has been transported to a medical facility following a fire in his No. 1 TRICON Garage truck in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Lime Rock Park, TRICON announced July 11.

“Thomas Annunziata is awake and alert and is being transported to an area medical facility for further evaluation,” TRICON stated.

Flames and smoke could be seen coming out of Annunziata’s truck under caution. He pulled over to the grass and got out of the truck.

Frontstretch’s on-site reporter Michael Bellifemini reported that Annunziata went to the infield care center on a stretcher with a mask on his face. He later was put into an ambulance.

Annunziata won Friday’s ARCA Menards Series race at Lime Rock, going back-to-back in consecutive years there.

Prior to the fire in the Truck race, he was running in second.
