Chase Pistone, a former driver in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and Craftsman Truck Series has died at the age of 42, Legends Nation posted on X.
Pistone was a main fixture in motorsports, especially legend racing and late models throughout his career. He was the grandson of two-time Cup Series race winner “Tiger” Tom Pistone.
“I’m broken hearted and don’t know if I’ll ever get over this,” Chase’s brother Nick posted on social media. “I miss you Chase already and I hope you are you are in a better place. I was his biggest fan and I loved him so much.”
Pistone made a total of 10 starts across NASCAR’s three national series from 2005 through 2014, mainly racing in the O’Reilly and Truck series.
He made his debut in the NOAPS back in 2006, driving for Braun Racing, finishing in 37th in his first start in the series.
Pistone last competed in NASCAR in 2014, when he drove for Turner Scott Motorsports in the NOAPS at Kentucky Speedway, finishing 20th.
