Craig Bracken, driver of the No. 02 Young’s Motorsports Chevrolet SS in the ARCA Menards Series, was taken to Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Fla., for further evaluation after being involved in a crash in Saturday’s (Feb. 15) Ride the Denté 200 at Daytona International Speedway.
Bracken, Amber Balcaen and Garrett ‘Cleetus McFarland’ Mitchell were all involved in a crash on lap 19 on the backstretch of the 2.5-mile superspeedway. After Bracken took several hard hits in his No. 02 Chevy, he was taken to the infield care center before being transferred to Halifax for further evaluation.

Bracken’s No. 02 made contact with several cars, then the inside wall still at a reasonable speed with no control over his racecar. All three drivers were eliminated in the incident.
After an extended amount of time in the infield care center, Young’s Motorsports Twitter account posted an update on Bracken, confirming his trip to a local hospital.
Following an on-track incident in this afternoon's race, Craig Bracken driver of the @ARCA_Racing No. 02 #TechniquePrototypes SS has been observed at the infield care center and out of an abundance of caution, will be transported to a local facility for further evaluation.

The 52-year-old Bracken, a Canadian native, was making his first ARCA start in over 20 years. His only previous start was at Berlin Raceway for Norm Benning’s team in 2002.
Bracken was evaluated and released from Halifax later on Saturday evening, Young’s confirmed.
