KANSAS CITY, Kansas – Entering the ARCA Menards Series season finale at Kansas Speedway, Thomas Annunziata confirmed that he will not be returning to the series full time in 2027.
“I won’t be here next year,” Annunziata said in a press conference. “You guys will find what I’m doing next year later on. But, yeah, hopefully I’m able to do some part-time stuff. Maybe just one-offs but it doesn’t make too much sense for my career to come back.”
While Annunziata left open the possibility of competing part time in ARCA next year, he would not divulge his 2027 plans.
Annunziata competes full time in ARCA driving the No. 70 Toyota for Nitro Motorsports. Before the start of the 2026 season, Annunziata signed as a Toyota Racing Development driver.
In 2026, Annunziata has one win at Lime Rock Park, 10 top fives, 17 top 10s and three pole awards. He enters the season finale with a 16-point deficit to his teammate Jake Bollman.
Overall, in 25 career starts, Annunziata has two victories – both at Lime Rock – 14 top fives, 22 top 10s and four poles. He has also made 18 career NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series starts and two in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
Nitro has not yet announced its driver lineup for 2027. Team owner Nick Tucker previously told Frontstretch that he ideally wants to have two or three full-time drivers.
