Jason Kitzmiller will return full time to the ARCA Menards Series in 2027, he confirmed to Frontstretch at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Jason is excited to “run it back” one more full-time season and compete against his son Isaac Kitzmiller full time.
Jason will continue to drive the No. 97 Chevrolet and Isaac will drive the No. 79. The father-son duo have run 15 races together, with Isaac besting his father 11-4.
Frank Kimmel and Doug Howe are likely to return as the crew chiefs for the Kitzmillers. Kimmel, the winningest driver in series history with a record 10 championships, has served as Jason Kitzmiller’s crew chief in 2025 and 2026. Howe has been atop the pit box for Isaac Kitzmiller throughout his series career thus far.

“Yeah, I believe that is the plan if everything works out and we can find a little bit more sponsorship would be great,” Isaac Kitzmiller told Frontstretch post-race at Bristol. “Just hope to work on that and get ready to kick their butt next year.
“CR7 Motorsports, they have a really good package at Michigan [International Speedway] and Kansas [Speedway], which I’m really excited to get to places like that and see what these cars have to offer. I know they got a lot to offer, so excited, and like I said, hopefully get some wins under our belt.”
Jason Kitzmiller has contested 65 main-series races, scoring three top fives and 32 top 10s. He earned his career-best finish of third in the 2025 season opener at Daytona International Speedway. He finished third in points in 2025 and is currently fourth in points despite not competing at Salem Speedway due to a family wedding.
Jason also finished 10th in the ARCA Menards Series East standings. Isaac won the East championship that year and finished third in points in 2026. In his two East seasons, Isaac Kitzmiller has 10 top fives and 16 top 10s.
In his 15-race national division tenure, Isaac has five top fives, with a career best of second in the 2026 event at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, and 12 top 10s.
CR7’s No. 97 is currently eighth in the main-series owner standings and its No. 79 is 20th. The organization has also fielded Landon S. Huffman in two main-series starts and two East starts. He will pilot a CR7 car in the season finale at Kansas Speedway. Huffman has not yet announced his 2027 plans.
