Layne Riggs Says He’ll Be Back With FRM in Trucks Next Year

Layne Riggs says he’ll be back for another year in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2027 for Front Row Motorsports, he revealed during Media Day for the series on Sept. 15.

Riggs, the No. 1 seed in the series’ Chase for 2026, has spent the last three seasons driving for FRM.

He did not reveal his truck number during the media availability, though he has most recently piloted the No. 34.

Riggs mentioned during the session that he would like to make select Cup Series starts next year as well.

This season, Riggs has racked up six wins while leading just shy of 600 laps in the regular season alone, along with 10 top fives and 11 top 10s.

FRM has not yet commented on Riggs’ return. The team’s other Truck driver this season, Chandler Smith, previously announced he will depart the team at the end of 2026, running in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series next year for Richard Childress Racing.
