Dean Thompson will compete for Haas Factory Team in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series in 2027, Haas announced Aug. 8.
He’ll be in a third entry for the team.
“I’m thrilled to join Haas Factory Team as the next step in my NASCAR journey,” Thompson said in a release. “I am looking forward to competing for wins and a championship with support from MCM Transportation and Thompson Pipe Group.”
Thompson has driven for Sam Hunt Racing the past two O’Reilly seasons, earning one top five and 10 top 10s so far.
Additionally, from 2022-2024 he ran in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, logging two top fives and 11 top 10s.
The car number that Thompson will drive, as well as his crew chief, will be announced at a later date.
