Christopher Bell Has Fractured Wrist, Will Race at Pocono

Christopher Bell has a fractured left wrist after his crash at Michigan International Speedway, Joe Gibbs Racing announced on X June 9.

Bell is cleared to compete in this weekend’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Pocono Raceway.

“(Christopher Bell) suffered a fractured left wrist after an accident on lap 148 of Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway,” JGR said in a statement on X. “After being evaluated and released from the infield care center, Bell returned home to North Carolina where X-rays confirmed the fracture. Bell has been cleared and will be behind the wheel of the No. 20 Toyota Camry XSE this weekend at Pocono Raceway.”

Bell had a hard crash in the outside wall after Chase Elliott got loose and ran into him while racing within the top five.

“Thank you to each and everyone who reached out to check on me, I truly feel the love,” Bell said on X. “I’m grateful for my team of doctors, JGR, NASCAR and all of the previous drivers who have helped pave the way for the safety standards in our sport. See you in Pocono!”

The Oklahoma native has five top fives and six top 10s so far this season and sits 10th in the standings.
