It was all Toyota in the opening portions of Sunday’s Würth 400 at Texas Motor Speedway (May 3), but at the end of the day, it was NASCAR’s most popular driver Chase Elliott taking home his second checkered flag of the 2026 season.
Stock Car Scoop host Eric Schneck is joined this week by Frontstretch contributor Mike Neff, where they break down Sunday’s race in The Lone Star State. Schneck and Neff discuss Elliott’s dominating performance, the caution flags that took out contenders Christopher Bell, Joey Logano, Corey Heim and Kyle Larson, and of course, Kyle Busch vs. John Hunter Nemechek.

What is it that Mike Neff doesn’t do? Mike announces several shows each year for the Good Guys Rod and Custom Association. He also pops up everywhere from PRN Pit Reporters and the Press Box with Alan Smothers to SIRIUS XM Radio. He has announced at tracks all over the Southeast, starting at Millbridge Speedway. He's also announced at East Lincoln Speedway, Concord Speedway, Tri-County Speedway, Caraway Speedway, and Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Dalton Hopkins began writing for Frontstretch in April 2021. Currently, he is the lead writer for the weekly Thinkin' Out Loud column, co-host of the Frontstretch Happy Hour podcast, and one of our lead reporters. Beforehand, he wrote for IMSA shortly after graduating from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2019. Simultaneously, he also serves as a Captain in the US Army.
