This upcoming weekend (May 1-3), NASCAR heads back to the Lone Star State for a trip to one of the sport’s intermediate ovals, Texas Motor Speedway.
The NASCAR Cup, O’Reilly Auto Parts and Craftsman Truck series are all in action this week. Here are the drivers looking to prove that everything’s bigger in Texas.
Cup Series Entry List
The Cup Series gets set for the Würth 400 presented by LIQUI MOLY on FOX Sports 1 this Sunday (May 3) at 3:30 p.m. ET. Qualifying is scheduled for Saturday at 1:40 p.m. ET on Amazon Prime.
Thirty-eight cars are entered, all of which will make the field at Texas. The normal 36 drivers and teams are on the list, although Kyle Busch will come with a new crew chief.
There are also two open entries. Chad Finchum returns in Carl Long’s Garage 66 No. 66 Ford while Corey Heim nets another start in 23XI Racing’s No. 67 Toyota.
NOAPS Entry List
The O’Reilly Series joins in on the fun with the Andy’s Frozen Custard 340 on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on The CW.
Qualifying becomes paramount here, as there are 39 cars for 38 spots this weekend. That session runs on Friday at 6:05 p.m. ET on The CW app.
There are a number of driver changes for NOAPS this week. Connor Zilisch heads back into the No. 1 this week for JR Motorsports. Carson Kvapil slides into the No. 9, and Kyle Larson heads back into series competition in the No. 88.
Rajah Caruth takes over the No. 32 for Jordan Anderson Racing as part of his part-time schedule with the team.
Over at Richard Childress Racing, 2013 series champion Austin Dillon will attempt his first start of the season in the No. 3 Chevrolet.
Among the smaller teams on the grid, the No. 42 for Young’s Motorsports welcomes back Brad Perez. The Nos. 35 and 53 for Joey Gase Racing are listed as TBA. Team owner Joey Gase will drive the No. 55.
Truck Series Entry List
The Truck Series kicks the weekend off with the Speedycash.com 250. It’s a Friday night under the lights for the truckers, which is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET on FS1.
There are 35 entries for the Truck race, with everyone making the field. Qualifying is at 3:35 p.m. ET on FS2.
Brandon Jones returns to the No. 1 for TRICON Garage. His NOAPS Joe Gibbs Racing teammate William Sawalich joins him in TRICON’s No. 5.
Kyle Busch makes another start for the No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet. Talladega Cup Series winner Carson Hocevar joins him in the No. 77.
Parker Kligerman joins in on the Kaulig All-Star truck, making his season debut in the No. 25 RAM.
Toni Breidinger sports a second truck for Rackley W.A.R., driving the No. 27 as part of her part-time schedule with the team.
Niece Motorsports continues its rotation of drivers, with Conner Jones in the No. 42 and Ross Chastain in the No. 45.
Cory Roper mans the ship for the second Halmar Friesen Racing entry, the No. 62.
Among the smaller teams, Clayton Green comes back to the No. 2 for Team Reaume. Also, Caleb Costner fields his Costner Motorsports No. 93 Chevrolet.
