In his 21st attempt, Kyle Busch scored his first career Daytona 500 pole. Busch clocked in an average speed of 183.925 mph in the second round of qualifying. He will look to claim his first Harley J. Earl trophy on Sunday Feb. 15.
Chase Briscoe will fill out the front row, almost claiming a second straight pole for the Great American Race. Both Busch and Briscoe will lead their respective duels to the green flag.
The two open cars that locked in on time were the No. 67 of Corey Heim and the No. 40 of Justin Allgaier. Heim made the second round of qualifying and will start third in Duel 1. Two more drivers will race their way through tomorrow’s duels.
Jimmie Johnson is locked into the field due to him claiming the provisional NASCAR introduced last season.

The Duels at Daytona will be held on Thursday, Feb. 12, at 7 p.m. ET. It will be broadcast on FOX Sports 1.
Two more practice sessions will also take place on both Friday (Feb. 13) at 5:35 p.m. ET and Saturday (Feb. 14) at 6 p.m. ET. FOX Sports 1 will also be the home of those two broadcasts.
The Daytona 500 will kickoff the 2026 season on Sunday, Feb. 15, at 2:30 p.m. ET on FOX.
