Connor Zilisch Takes Watkins Glen Xfinity Pole

Connor Zilisch turned the fastest lap in NASCAR Xfinity Series qualifying at Watkins Glen International at a speed of 124.429 mph, earning the right to lead the field to green for the Mission 200.

Zilisch’s sixth-career pole is his fifth of the year.

Shane van Gisbergen completes a JR Motorsports front row, as he’ll roll off second alongside his teammate.

Taylor Gray, Sam Mayer and William Sawalich complete the top five, while Sammy Smith, Nick Sanchez, Kaz Grala, Justin Allgaier and Austin Hill round out the top 10.

With 38 cars entered, all drivers made the field for today’s (Aug. 9) race.
