Bringing the Heat: Daniel Hemric Still Focused on 2024

On this episode of Bringing the Heat with Bryan Nolen, Nolen has a conversation with NASCAR Cup Series driver for Kaulig Racing, Daniel Hemric. Nolen and Hemric chatted about his team’s struggles this season, especially at the short tracks, the adjustments from the NASCAR Xfinity Series to going up to the Cup Series, and his plans for 2025.

Anthony Damcott then joins Nolen to talk about the latest news and notes in NASCAR. This includes Bubba Wallace‘s extension with 23XI Racing and what it means for the charter negotiations between the team and NASCAR. Plus, the guys look at the playoff bubble heading to the cutoff race at Bristol Motor Speedway this weekend.

Shane van Gisbergen is the focus of the Soundbite of the Week. The guys heard his thoughts on the final lap of the race last weekend and the mistake he made that led him to lose the race to Chris Buescher. They shared their reactions to those comments.

The podcast wraps up with some final thoughts, including Damcott looking ahead to who will race in 2025 in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, which is not very clear at this point. Nolen also offers the perspective that Martin Truex Jr. is following the trend that drivers’ final seasons typically don’t result in winning races.
