Trevor Bayne will drive the No. 25 Rackley WAR Chevrolet in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway, the team announced Oct. 17.
The start will mark Bayne’s first Truck appearance since 2020.
“I definitely didn’t see this coming two weeks ago,” Bayne said in a team release. “This deal came together rather quickly. Willie Allen and Curtis Sutton have been working very hard over the past few years to improve their truck program. The results have shown all season with their consistent top-10 runs.”
Bayne takes over a truck initially driven by Matt DiBenedetto this season before he departed the team prior to Talladega Superseedway. Chandler Smith drove the No. 25 there.
“The team is definitely looking forward to our partnership with Trevor for Homestead-Miami,” Allen added. “Trevor brings a lot of very good experience to the table, and he will be a good measuring stick to help evaluate some of the things we are working on moving forward.”
In 2023, Bayne has driven the No. 19 for Joe Gibbs Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, managing a best finish of seventh at Bristol Motor Speedway in three starts.
He made eight starts in the Truck Series in 2020 for Niece Motorsports, scoring a top five and two top 10s.

I’m very happy that Trevor bayne is doing a one off appearance for the truck race at homestead Miami speedway on Saturday afternoon, but I’m also hoping that he will be racing with Corey Heim that same day.
