NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series veteran Stewart Friesen was released from the hospital early this morning (Oct. 1) following his hard crash in yesterday’s Craftsman Truck Series’ Love’s RV Stop 250 at Talladega Superspeedway.
His official ‘X’ page posted the following statement:
Friesen’s No. 52 Toyota Tundra made hard, head-on contact with the outside wall during the crash. Once his car came to rest, he was able to get out under his own power, albeit very slowly.
It remains to be seen if Friesen will be able to compete in the penultimate race of the season for the Truck Series at Homestead-Miami Speedway on October 21.
