40 teams are on the entry list for the inaugural South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This will be the first time that LVMS will host a second Cup Series date on the NASCAR season.
A 40-car entry list means that all teams will make the show, barring any late entry list changes. This is the first race of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup series playoffs.
Trevor Bayne returns to the No. 6 for Roush Fenway Racing. Advocare Rehydrate will sponsor the effort.
After entering two cars for the last three races, Rick Ware Racing downsizes to one effort this week, with BJ McLeod driving the No. 51.
Regan Smith will remain in the No. 95 for Leavine Family Racing, subbing for Kasey Kahne who sat out at Indianapolis Motor Speedway due to lingering symptoms of dehydration.
Finally, Kyle Weatherman will make his third start of the season, wheeling the No. 99 for StarCom Racing.
The South Point Casino 400 will be Sunday, Sept. 16, at 3 p.m ET with TV coverage on NBCSN.
