Entry List: Camping World Truck Series Longhorn 350 Features Austin Dillon

NASCAR’s Camping World Truck Series returns to Texas Motor Speedway this weekend for the second race in its Chase Round of 6. Just two races remain before that field will be reduced to the Championship 4, battling it out in a winner-take-all race for the trophy at Homestead.

As of Monday, there are 35 trucks entered, meaning three drivers will not make the race, barring any entry list updates.

Among the notable Truck Series part-timers entered is XFINITY Series Chase contender Daniel Suarez. Suarez, competing in Kyle Busch Motorsports’ No. 51 for the second consecutive race is hoping to build momentum for his own title bid. Friday will mark the Mexican driver’s third Truck Series start at Texas after running both races and finishing second twice last season.

Austin Dillon, meanwhile will make his first Truck Series start of 2016 this weekend as he pilots the No. 71 car owned by Carlos Contreras. When Dillon last competed in the series at New Hampshire last September, he went to Victory Lane.

Dillon should have another great opportunity this week to cash in. The Contreras No. 71 was driven by Chase Elliott last week at Martinsville, prepared by JR Motorsports and delivered the team a second-place finish. He’ll join Reed Sorenson as the only Cup regulars in the field although Sorenson’s paired with underfunded Premium Motorsports.

Popular underdog Jordan Anderson also returns to the series this week driving the No. 66 for Bolen Motorsports. Anderson had lost his ride the last few weeks due to sponsorship concerns as the team tries to shore up funding to run full-time for the title once again in 2017.

Action from Texas begins on Thursday with two practice sessions, the first at 3:30 p.m. and second at 5:30 p.m. (all times ET). Qualifying will take place on Friday at 3:45 p.m. followed by the race at 8:30 p.m. on FOX Sports 1.

REALLY….. Austin Dillon and Reed Sorenson running Truck Race, Reed Sorenson isn’t NO THREAT to the outcome of the Truck race but Austin Dillon is and this is a CHASE race. These CUP DRIVERS need to STAY OUT OF THESE RACES , TOTAL BULLS**T !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With 2 races left before the Championship Race that will mean that there is a possibility of Johnny Sauter to be the only one out of 4 fighting for the Championship that has earned a Victory
