Motorsport.com reported on Tuesday that One Main Financial will join JR Motorsports next season in 2016. The company is one of the most well-known and longest running sponsorships in the NASCAR XFINITY Series to date.
With the move to JR Motorsports and with a ride opening up with Chase Elliott moving into the Sprint Cup Series ranks, it is expected that Elliott Sadler will move over to fill-in the void.
The Virginia native joined Roush Fenway Racing at the beginning of the 2015 season. Since moving over, Sadler holds four top 5s and 10 top-10 finishes in the series. In his two-year stint with Joe Gibbs Racing, the 40-year old earned 16 top 5s and 45 top-10 finishes.
JR Motorsports is a three car full-time operation. One is shared between numerous drivers while Regan Smith and Elliott pilot two full-time entries. Elliott sits second in XFINITY Series points while Smith sits fourth going into Watkins Glen.
Motorsport.com says both Roush Fenway Racing and JR Motorsports would not comment on the subject.
