Welcome to Off the Wall With…, where we ask your favorite drivers five questions that are… well, off the wall! We’ll check in with a different driver each week to get a peek into life outside the racecar. This week, longtime NASCAR car owner Richard Childress stops by to answer our silly questions.
What’s fun besides racing?
Richard Childress: I love the outdoors. Enjoy the outdoors and spending time with the NRA. I’m doing a lot of work with them right now. That is my fun stuff.
What’s the top item on your bucket list?
Childress: Winning that next Cup championship.
Your go-to on movie night is:
Childress: If I’m looking for a good movie I’m looking for a good Clint Eastwood movie.
What’s one item that’s always in your grocery bag?
Childress: Childress Vineyards wine.
Most memorable fan interaction?
Childress: It would take me some time for that. I love our fans so much and have done so much with them. Taking some of them for a ride has been fun. Having the guy that looked like Dale with us at Talladega when we won the million that time was cool.
