NASCAR Tracks Ask Fans Not to Display Confederate Flag

Frontstretch’s Truck Series content is presented by American Trucks

As the debate about the use of the Confederate Flag continues throughout the U.S., NASCAR facilities have now come together to join the discussion. The large group of tracks has collaborated to request fans “refrain from displaying the Confederate Flag at our facilities and NASCAR events.”

“As members of the NASCAR industry, we join NASCAR in the desire to make our events among the most fan-friendly, welcoming environments in all of sports and entertainment,” the statement read. “To do that, we are asking our fans and partners to join us in a renewed effort to create an all-inclusive, even more welcoming atmosphere for all who attend our events.

“We are committed to providing a welcoming atmosphere free of offensive symbols. This is an opportunity for NASCAR Nation to demonstrate its sense of mutual respect and acceptance for all who attend our events while collectively sharing the tremendous experience of NASCAR racing.”

The full list of tracks involved can be found below.

NASCAR would do better to concern itself with the over appearance of the yellow flag!

Does Nascar really think removing the Confederate Flag from the tracks is going to get Blacks flocking to the track??? Duh!! The only thing that is going to happen is, because Nascar has jumped on the political correctness bandwagon Nascar they will lose a whole bunch of their common sense fans…makes me want to puke and I may give Nascar the boot…Always did like drag racing..

Dan

Please leave your flag of the south at home but PLEASE PLEASE bring your wallets!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday I left a comment on here concerning Nascar an the Confederate Flag. Nothing I stated was disrespectful, profane or racial. Just my god given opinion yet you chose not to print it. Just why was that? Oh that’s right!! you are the media and part of the problem, jumping on that PC bandwagon. How low can you people go? Based on your non action, I will NOT be watching or attending a Nascar Race as I have for the last 15 years and will be telling every fan I know of your prejudiced website which use to enjoy reading…you people should be ashamed.
