Rinnai, one of the top sellers of tankless water heaters in the United States and Canada, will sponsor Cole Whitt and the No. 35 Front Row Motorsports Ford in this weekend’s Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, the team announced today.
It’s Whitt’s second start with the organization, following a 22nd-place finish at Daytona last week.
“Atlanta is still a pretty new track to me, but I’m looking forward to going there,” said Whitt in a team release. “I expect it to have a lot of speed. But we’ll definitely have tire fall-off. It’s one of the coolest things about Atlanta. We fall off so much there. There are cars that could be a half second faster than somebody for one lap. But then five laps into a run, they could be a full second slower than you. It’s probably the track we go to that has the biggest swing as far as tires.”
Whitt is starting his second full-season in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Last season, he split time between Swan Racing and BK Racing. The 24-year-old Alpine, California, native had a relationship with the company last season as the company sponsored his No. 26 Toyota in four races in 2014.
