Following a posting on Eric McClure‘s Facebook page that an unexpected surgery could sideline him for the weekend’s upcoming Nationwide Series race at Road America, Frontstretch has learned that McClure underwent a successful procedure for a minor muscle tear that had been bothering him for some time.
McClure has been cleared to race the No. 24 Hefty Ford this weekend and intends to go the full race distance. However, the Rensi team plans to have Chris Cook on standby for McClure on Saturday (June 19).
