The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will head to Bowman Gray Stadium in 2027, as was first reported by The Athletic‘s Jordan Bianchi and later confirmed by NASCAR. The date is set for Aug. 20, 2027.
It’ll be the first NASCAR national series points race at the short track since 1971. It’s also the first time the Truck Series has competed on the .25-mile track.
Bowman Gray has hosted the Cook Out Clash for the past two seasons in 2025 and 2026. The Clash will run at Daytona International Speedway next year.
The news comes after it was revealed that Rockingham Speedway wouldn’t host a NASCAR national series race next year.
