Ryan Blaney won his third pole of the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season on Saturday (Aug. 8) at Iowa Speedway, clocking in at 134.191 MPH. It’s Blaney’s 15th career pole.
Kyle Larson and Blaney’s Team Penske teammate Joey Logano tied at 134.088 MPH behind Blaney. Larson will start second based on points while Logano settled for third.
Brad Keselowski was fourth-fastest on his initial qualifying lap, but spun in turn 1 and 2 on his second lap and sustained heavy rear end damage.
Tyler Reddick qualified fifth. Ty Gibbs, Austin Dillon, Connor Zilisch, Ross Chastain and Erik Jones rounded out the top 10.
Chase Briscoe and Denny Hamlin each dealt with brake issues in practice and qualified 20th and 29th, respectively. Chase Elliott spun out in practice and qualified 32nd. Cole Custer was slowest of the 36-car field.
