Nashville Truck Qualifying Canceled, Layne Riggs to Start on Pole

After a win at Charlotte Motor Speedway last week, Layne Riggs will start Friday night’s (May 29) NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Nashville Superspeedway on pole.

Due to rain, the qualifying order was set by NASCAR’s qualifying metric. Over half the field was able to set a lap before the weather came in, but there was not enough time to get the rest of qualifying finished.

Starting to Riggs’ outside is points leader Kaden Honeycutt. Jesse Love, making his first Truck Series start since 2023, will start third, while Gio Ruggiero will start fourth. Christian Eckes, one of the two former winners of this race in the field, rounds out the top five.

Ben Rhodes will start sixth. Brandon Jones and William Sawalich will start seventh and eighth, respectively. Tanner Gray and Daniel Hemric round out the top 10.

Due to the lineup being set by the metric, Toni Breidinger and Jonathan Shafer will not start tonight’s race.

Coverage begins for the Allegiance 200 at Nashville Superspeedway at 8 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1.

  1. Sexism still rampant in nascar. Cup leaches brought down to prevent Toni Breidinger from qualifying and discourage other women to try and race.
