Bringing the Heat: 2026 Indianapolis 500 Preview With Alex Gintz

This week on Bringing the Heat with Trey Lyle, Alex Gintz previews the Greatest Spectacle in Racing, the Indianapolis 500. Looking ahead, it’s impossible to talk about the race without mentioning Alex Palou. Gintz also details the feeling around the IndyCar paddock leading into the big race this weekend.

The build-up to this year’s race also includes speculation on whether or not Alexander Rossi will attempt to drive his car after sustaining an injury from a practice crash. Gintz also brings up other drivers who could be contenders on Sunday, and the two share their thoughts on Katherine Legge‘s attempt at the Double.

After the lengthy preview of the Indianapolis 500, Chris Graham joins Lyle to react to Amazon Prime’s return to the track. That includes the announcement of personalities of former drivers that will be joining the broadcast in various ways.

After Amazon, TNT will take over coverage. That includes Marty Smith making a return to the NASCAR scene. Both Graham and Lyle agree that this is a spectacular addition for TNT, and the two are excited to see Smith back at the track. The two also react to the NASCAR Hall of Fame selections.

This week’s soundbite comes from Chase Briscoe, who shared his opinion on the vibe of the All-Star Race at Dover. Graham and Lyle dive into what the future of the All-Star Race could or should look like in the future.
