Dystany Spurlock Attempting NASCAR Truck Debut at Watkins Glen

Dystany Spurlock will attempt to make her NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut next weekend at Watkins Glen International, MBM Motorsports and Garage 66 announced April 30.

Should Spurlock qualify for the race, she would become the first Black woman to drive in the Truck Series.

Spurlock will pilot the No. 69 with sponsorship from Foxxtecca.

“I’m excited for Watkins Glen,” Spurlock said in a release. “It’s been a while since I’ve raced on a road course, so I’m looking forward to getting back out there. Having the opportunity to compete in ARCA and make my debut in the truck is going to be a lot of fun. I’m focused on learning as much as I can in both the car and the truck, and hopefully we can keep this top-10 momentum going!”

She made her ARCA Menards Series debut at Kansas Speedway, finishing in 10th.

At Watkins Glen, Spurlock will pull double duty, running her second career ARCA race as she pursues a limited schedule in that series.
