Wesley Slimp will compete in five ARCA Menards Series races in 2026 for Nitro Motorsports, the team announced Jan. 8.
His first race will come at Daytona International Speedway. The rest of the races were not revealed in the release.
Though Slimp’s car number was not announced, he is one of three drivers testing the No. 90 at this weekend’s preseason test at the track.
“Nitro Motorsports continues to focus on developing drivers with the work ethic and adaptability to succeed at the next level,” Nitro owner Nick Tucker said in a team release. “Wesley has shown he can compete across different platforms, and we’re excited to welcome him to the ARCA Menards Series. This partial schedule will allow us to build momentum, maximize preparation and put him in position to be competitive from the outset.”

In addition to previous starts in the sports car world, Slimp made three NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races in 2025 for Halmar Friesen Racing, all at road courses, with a best finish of 12th at Watkins Glen International.
Slimp joins the previously announced Gavan Boschele, Sam Corry and Jade Avedisian as drivers announced for part-time Nitro schedules in the national series this year.
