Burt Myers Running Martinsville for AmeriVet

Burt Myers will compete in the NASCAR Cup Series race at Martinsville Speedway on Mar. 30, Team AmeriVet announced on Mar. 8.

Myers will pilot the No. 50 Chevrolet with sponsorship from C3 Skids.

“I am super excited to get another chance at competing in the NASCAR Cup Series,” Myers said in a press release. “Martinsville is one of the most historic tracks in racing and means a lot to my family. Special thanks to Team AmeriVet and C3 Skids for giving me this opportunity.”

The Cook Out 400 will be Myers’ first Cup points-paying race. He also drove for AmeriVet in the Cook Out Clash, failing to advance out of his qualifying race.

Myers made a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start at Martinsville in 2009, finishing one lap down in 19th.

Myers’ Cup points debut at Martinsville will take place on Sunday, Mar. 30 at 3 p.m. ET with TV coverage provided by FOX Sports 1.
