After two superspeedways and a road course to start the season, the NASCAR Cup Series headlines the weekend at Phoenix Raceway, along with the ARCA Menards Series on Friday night and the Xfinity Series on Saturday afternoon.
Here’s who you can expect at the track throughout the weekend.
Grand Marshals
Clancy Brown and Luke Cook from The CW’s Good Cop/Bad Cop will serve as the grand marshals for the Xfinity race. Brown has also been in movies and shows such as The Shawshank Redemption, Pet Sematary and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Cook has also appeared in the Guardians of the Galaxy series and The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
Pre-Race Concert
Arizona native Harry Luge makes his return to Phoenix during NASCAR’s opening round on the West Coast. Luge has been a fan favorite in the campgrounds at Phoenix, playing shows for those who spend the weekend at the track. Luge has opened for names like Chris LeDoux, Cody Johnson, Eric Church and Brad Paisley.
National Anthem
Jazz, R&B and soul singer Nayo Jones will perform the National Anthem for the Cup race. Jones was born in Chicago but currently resides in New Orleans. She is promoting her latest EP titled With Love, Nayo Jones.
