Appeals Panel Upholds Parker Kligerman Daytona DQ

The National Motorsports Appeals Panel upheld penalties that were issued against the Henderson Motorsports No. 75 team in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, NASCAR announced Feb. 20.

As a result, Parker Kligerman‘s win in the season-opening race at Daytona International Speedway will not stand.

The three-member panel ruled during the team’s hearing that “more likely than not a rules violation did occur, and the disqualification penalties in Rule 10.5.2.4 necessitate a race disqualification.”

The panel was comprised of Bill Mullis, Tommy Wheeler and Kevin Whitaker.

“Unfortunately we have lost our appeal regarding our disqualification from last week’s race in Daytona,” Henderson said via a post on X. “While we feel that we had a very strong case, we respect the panel’s decision. We’d again like to thank all the fans for their support. We’ve shown that we can compete, and we’ll be back. See you all in Bristol [Motor Speedway]!”

Kligerman had seemingly scored his fourth career Truck win when he crossed the finish line first in Henderson’s No. 75 Chevrolet at Daytona on Feb. 14, but the truck failed post-race inspection due to not meeting ride-height requirements.

The team’s disqualification resulted in the win going to TRICON Garage driver Corey Heim.

Kligerman and Henderson are competing part time in the series this year.
