Michael McDowell has Go Bowling sponsorship in multiple races this year with Spire Motorsports, Spire announced Feb. 10.
Two of those events take place this week; Go Bowling will adorn McDowell’s No. 71 in the Daytona 500 in the NASCAR Cup Series as well as the season-opening NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race via Spire’s No. 07.
Go Bowling then returns to the No. 71 for the Cup race at Watkins Glen International.
“It’s awesome to have a new partnership at Spire Motorsports with Go Bowling and it’s a program that fits me very well,” McDowell said in a team release. “Bowling is a family-friendly activity and one my whole family really enjoys. My wife and I just took our kids bowling last week and I can promise you, we had a ball.
“Bowling is something that we love to do as a family but we’re also looking forward to getting on the racetrack in Daytona [International Speedway] and later this year at Watkins Glen. We’re looking forward to three exciting races where we think we have a shot to win each time out and we are very thankful to have Go Bowling as a partner.”
2025 marks McDowell’s first season with Spire. He scored two top fives and seven top 10s with Front Row Motorsports in the Cup Series in 2024. His Daytona start in the Truck Series — currently a standalone — marks his first series appearance since 2009.
