Cody Ware Running Full Cup Season With RWR

Cody Ware is back full time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 51 for Rick Ware Racing in 2025, RWR announced Jan. 15.

Ware’s return follows a nine-race season in 2024, all in RWR’s No. 15. He earned a best finish of fourth at Daytona International Speedway, his first top five in 106 starts.

Ware last ran at least 30 Cup races in a season in 2022, when he competed in all but one race in the No. 51.

He’s the first driver announced to the RWR stable in a points-paying capacity for 2025. Tim Brown was previously revealed as the driver of RWR’s No. 15 for the Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium.

“The NASCAR Cup Series is where every driver wants to be and I’m grateful to be back full time,” Ware said in a team release. “I’ve improved as a driver and RWR has improved as a team, and this is, by far, the best opportunity I’ve had in NASCAR. I aim to make the most of it and earn the respect of my competitors.”

Billy Plourde will be Ware’s crew chief.
