Brad Perez Running Homestead for Young’s

Brad Perez will drive the No. 02 Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Baptist Health 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway, he announced on X (Twitter) Tuesday (Oct. 17).

The truck will have Apex Coffee Roasters on the hood as a primary sponsor. It will be his first attempt at a Truck Series start since running the No. 30 truck for On Point Motorsports at the Milwaukee Mile on Aug. 23 where he finished 35th.

He has also been making select starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, with the most recent at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course, where he piloted the Emerling-Gase Motorsports No. 53 to a 38th-place finish.

Brad Perez is a Florida native and in his X post he detailed the history he has with Homestead-Miami Speedway, where he started out racing in the SCCA Spec Miata category. “This is an absolute dream come true for lil Brad. This is the place that started my love for NASCAR,” Perez said in his comment. “I watched my first race here, I drove my first race here, I won my first race here. I’m so thankful to everyone who has helped me achieve this dream. Now to go race.”

Perez will be one of many drivers that have stepped into the No. 02 Young’s Chevrolet this season, including Kaden Honeycutt, Kris Wright and Josh Bilicki. The most recent outing saw Garrett Smithley drive the ride to a 15th-place finish at Talladega Superspeedway.
