Cole Custer on Pole for Bristol Xfinity Race

Cole Custer starts the NASCAR Xfinity Series playoffs off strong by grabbing the pole for Friday night’s Food City 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Custer posted a qualifying time of 122.341 mph. It is his fifth pole this season and the 17th of his career.

Josh Berry rounded out the front row with a qualifying time of 122.123 mph.

John Hunter Nemechek, Chandler Smith and Daniel Hemric rounded out the top five.

Sammy Smith, Ryan Sieg, Brandon Jones, Jeremy Clements and Justin Allgaier complete the top 10.

With 38 cars entered, all qualified for the race. The No. 53 of BJ McLeod withdrew after practice.

Xfinity Bristol Lineup

The NASCAR Xfinity Series will take to the track tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Round of 12 will kick off on USA Network.
