Podcast: Christopher Bell, Dennis Bickmeier Preview Richmond Raceway

Fresh off his first top five finish of the season, Christopher Bell joins Davey Segal to recap his race from Circuit of the Americas, touch on Toyota’s struggles so far and preview one of his best statistical tracks in the form of Richmond Raceway.

Track president Dennis Bickmeier also joins the show ahead of his final race weekend in his role to discuss how his decade-plus tenure has been, how he and the track survived an overall downturn in the 2010s, Denny Hamlin‘s thoughts on holding race tracks accountable and more.

Daniel McFadin joins Davey to dive into Ross Chastain‘s first career victory at COTA, Trackhouse Racing’s exponential growth, watermelon smashes and the jaw-dropping finish. The duo also looks ahead to Richmond Raceway and debate whether the Next Gen car will help the racing there.

  1. The Modifieds are racing on Friday night, including Ryan Newman. They should move it to Sunday afternoon and televise that instead of the Cup experiment.

    • That “Cup Experiment” has produced 6 great races and 1 pretty solid one. Pretty sure I’d rather watch the Cup guys.
