Update: The bodies of the noses of the Joe Gibbs Racing Toyotas of Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin and the Leavine Family Racing Toyota of Christopher Bell did not meet specifications in pre-race tech inspections. Along with being docked 10 points, all three drivers will have to drop to the rear of the field during the pace laps of Sunday’s race, though they will be officially scored from their original spots. Our original article follows.

Qualifying for Sunday’s Pennzoil 400 Presented by Jiffy Lube was canceled due to persistent rain at Las Vegas Motor Speedway that also washed out Xfinity Series qualifying. The No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota of Kyle Busch will start from the pole, as the lineup for Sunday’s race will be set by 2019 owner points.
Busch, who won Friday night’s Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series race, will be starting from the pole for the 33rd time in his Cup Series career. Martin Truex Jr. will start second with Kevin Harvick third, Daytona 500 champion Denny Hamlin starting fourth and Joey Logano rounding out the top five.
Kyle Larson, Ryan Blaney, Brad Keselowski, Clint Bowyer and Chase Elliott will make up the rest of the top 10. Ross Chastain, who is filling in for the injured Ryan Newman, will start 15th.
With only 38 cars entered, no drivers will miss the race.

Bill B – exactly! Mother Nature not a race fan.
I want to know exactly what the Toyota’s were penalized for. I think I heard they were using Bondo? Hoping it is addressed today on Foxes afternoon show.
