NASCAR Reveals 2020 ARCA Menards Series, ARCA Showdown Schedules

A mixture of historic venues and new circuits will great ARCA Menards Series competitors in 2020.

Per a Oct. 10 release, the 2020 ARCA Menards season will be contested in 20 events at 20 different venues from February to October next year.

Additionally, the ARCA Showdown schedule consists of 10 events on the schedule, running from March to September.

Several changes from the 2019 season highlight the schedules, including the return of road courses and three tracks where ARCA will make its debut.

The first of the 20 events of the ARCA season will be contested at Daytona International Speedway, marking the 68th time the series has competed on the 2.5-mile high banks. ISM Raceway will see ARCA cars on its 1-mile track for the in its history. The March 6 contest will also be the opening race of the ARCA Showdown.

Road courses return to the schedule, as a pair of historic road racing venues join the circuit. Like ISM Raceway, ARCA cars will race at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the first time on May 29. The other is the return of Watkins Glen International in 19 years. The event is scheduled for Aug. 18. Mid-Ohio will be the sixth race of the schedule, while WGI will be the 15th.

A pair of short tracks have been added to the schedule late in the season. The 18th slot on the schedule belongs to the inaugural ARCA event at Bristol Motor Speedway, which is set to take place on Sept. 17. A week later, Memphis International Raceway will host its first ARCA event since 2011.

Finally, the season champion will once again be crowned at Kansas Speedway on Oct. 16.

The ARCA Showdown consists of 10 tracks, including two road courses, six short tracks and two 1-mile tracks. ISM will open up the season, followed by Salem Speedway, Mid-Ohio, Lucas Oil Raceway, Elko Speedway, Iowa Speedway, World Wide Technology Raceway, WGI, Bristol and Memphis.

All 20 events will have live television coverage, which will be split between Fox Sports (eight races) and MAVTV (12 races). Although ARCA recently announced its formation, the schedules for the ARCA West and East series schedules will be announced at a later time.
