The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series’ first trip of 2019 to Michigan International Speedway happens this weekend with a 36-car field, meaning all teams will make the race, barring any entry list changes.
A small handful of notable driver and team changes for the event exist, including most prominently the entry of Garrett Smithley in Premium Motorsports’ No. 15. Not only was Smithley originally scheduled to drive Spire Motorsports’ No. 77 for the event, but he’s also the first driver to pilot the No. 15 who isn’t Ross Chastain. After pulling triple duty for the entirety of 2019 thus far, Chastain is only entered in the Xfinity Series event at the track this weekend.
Quin Houff will drive Spire’s No. 77.
Cody Ware and Bayley Currey, meanwhile, are currently entered in Rick Ware Racing’s Nos. 51 and 52, respectively.
FireKeepers Casino 400 Entry List
