The NASCAR Xfinity Series will arrive in Alabama this weekend for its annual race at Talladega Superspeedway. The Money Lion 300 will feature 37 teams in the field, meaning all will make the race, barring any entry list changes.
Most notably, Gander Outdoors Truck Series driver Brett Moffitt will make just his third career Xfinity Series start, piloting JR Motorsports’ No. 8 Chevrolet Camaro. Last year’s Truck Series champion has finished ninth and 11th in two starts, which were in 2012 and 2017, respectively.
Jeffrey Earnhardt is back in Joe Gibbs Racing’s No. 18 machine, looking for his third top 10 in four starts this year.
Ross Chastain returns to the No. 10 for Kaulig Racing, having finished 13th at Daytona International Speedway after a strong run. All of Chastain’s other starts have been in JD Motorsports No. 4 machine in 2019.
Max Tullman will make just his second start of 2019, this time in the MBM Motorsports No. 42, while Timmy Hill returns to the team’s No. 66.
BJ McLeod Motorsports will field an unnamed driver in the team’s No. 99 (originally announced as DJ Kennington), while Alex Labbe makes his third start of 2019 in the No. 90 DGM Racing machine.
Additionally, Rick Ware Racing will field Chris Cockrum in the No. 17 in a collaboration with Spraker Racing.
The Xfinity Series’ Money Lion 300 will begin at 1 p.m. on April 27.
