Atlanta Motor Speedway and NASCAR officials announced Saturday Afternoon that the schedule for Sunday’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 has been adjusted due to the threat of rain. Sunday’s forecast for the Atlanta area includes a 90 percent chance of rain all the way through Monday morning.
The race will begin at approximately 1:06 pm/ET, an hour earlier than the originally scheduled start time. NASCAR hopes it can get the race started and maybe make it through two stages for an official race before the rains come.
