NASCAR, XFINITY to Continue Dash 4 Cash Program

NASCAR and Comcast XFINITY are in the first year of a ten year contract for naming rights of NASCAR’s number two series, and today the pair announced the continuation of a popular program: the Dash 4 Cash.

The program is open to any drivers who have declared themselves eligible for the XFINITY championship, with the opportunity to win $1 million. Like last year’s program, the four highest-finishing XFINITY regulars in each Dash 4 Cash (D4C) race will constitute the four eligible drivers in the next D4C race.

Also announced was a different set of tracks hosting the program than in years past, with Charlotte, Dover, Bristol, Indianapolis and Darlington comprising the D4C schedule.

“We’re excited that XFINITY has brought the Dash 4 Cash program back and the reason is clear – the format has generated incredible intensity, making it popular for both competitors and fans,” Jim Cassidy, NASCAR senior vice president of racing operations, said.

Charlotte Motor Speedway will host the first D4C race in May. The highest-finishing four will then become eligible at Dover for a $100,000 prize, given to the highest finisher. The top four finishers in that race move on to the next D4C race at Bristol. The process repeats at Indy until there are four drivers in the running at Darlington.

Any driver that is eligible and finishes the highest in each of the three races leading up to the finale at Darlington and wins at the Lady in Black will earn a bonus of $600,000 – equaling a $1 million payout in all.

Fans are invited to join the program. Each race, select fans will be paired with eligible drivers, and whoever’s driver takes home the cash, that fan will take a $100,000 check home, too. Fans are encouraged to apply at www.nascar.com/Dash4Cash.
