HOMESTEAD, Fla. – Frontstretch caught up with Front Row Motorsports General Manager Jerry Freeze on Friday afternoon (Nov. 19) at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. In discussing the organization’s affiliation with Ford heading in the 2011 season, Freeze noted that FRM is likely to field a package similar to their 2010 effort, though the team has yet to make a final decision on whether to field two or three cars. Freeze did not that Ford is investing in some new engineering tools this offseason and anticipates that Front Row will benefit from these investments.
In other news, sources also confirmed that FRM is no longer maintaining a relationship with Tri-Star Motorsports’ No. 34 team, owing in large part to the departure of sponsor Extenze from FRM’s Cup program in August. Frontstretch can confirm that Tri-Star is in talks with a number of drivers for their respective seats in 2011 and an announcement may emerge as early as this weekend.
