Jake Garcia will move to Front Row Motorsports for the 2027 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season, FRM announced Sept. 29.
Garcia will drive the No. 38, which is being vacated by Chandler Smith at the end of the 2026 season.
“I’m very thankful to get the opportunity to compete for Front Row Motorsports in the NASCAR Truck Series,” Garcia said in a team release. “They are one of the top teams in the series and have proven that their equipment can win any given week, no matter the track.
“I appreciate Bob [Jenkins, owner] and Jerry [Freeze, GM] for giving me this shot. With their support, I think that I can continue to build upon the success that other drivers have had in the No. 38 truck and be a contender for the title in 2027.”
“We’re excited to have Jake join us next season,” Freeze added. “He displayed it at Bristol, and over his entire Truck Series career, he has the talent, abilities and personal motivation to keep our No. 38 team at the top of the heap and continue to help FRM set the bar in the series.
“We’re confident in what Jake brings to the table, and we look forward to seeing him put in the work during the offseason, to get ready for 2027.”
Garcia’s major primary for the No. 38 will be Quanta Services.
Garcia joins FRM from Thor Sport Racing, where he has spent the past three years in the Nos. 13 and No. 98. In 2026, Garcia missed the Chase by 12 points and currently sits 11th in points with one win and eight top 10s, his first victory coming earlier this month at Bristol Motor Speedway.
ThorSport has not announced Garcia’s replacement in the No. 98.
