Joey Logano won the opening stage and hung around the top 10 all night long, and when it was time to step up, he avoided the contact up front to win the Bristol Night Race Saturday night (Sept. 19) for his third win of the 2026 Cup Series season.

Kyle Larson finished runner-up, Carson Hocevar finished third, Christopher Bell finished fourth, and Ty Gibbs rounded out the top five.
Gibbs led 120 laps on the night and was leading on the final restart, but after a physical late-race battle with Hocevar, they both came up empty-handed.
Josh Berry, Bubba Wallace, Denny Hamlin, William Byron, and Ryan Preece finished in the sixth to 10th positions.
Ryan Blaney won the second stage and led a race-high 202 laps on the night, but with 43 laps to go, while attempting to move into second, Hocevar got into the back of him, crashing him out of the race.
After the race, on pit road, Blaney went up to Hocevar and grabbed on to him. Hocevar threw a couple of punches before Blaney went down to the ground and Blaney got back up and went back after Hocevar before they were split up.
” I wasn’t trying to wreck him (Blaney), it looked like to me I got a run and went left and he spun,” Hocevar told the USA Sports broadcast on pit road postrace. “There wasn’t a whole lot of talking. He said one thing and went after me and I wasn’t going to take it.”
Larson took the lead in The Chase standings by a single point over Hamlin after three Chase races.
Logano is third after his win, 16 points behind Larson as the top six are 52 points or closer behind the points leader.
Bristol Night Race Results
The Cup Series will return to action on Sunday, Sept. 27 for the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway. The 30th race of the season and the fourth race of The Chase will begin at 3 p.m. ET, with TV coverage provided by USA.
